tl_files/contents/press/20060625.jpgFor the first time, the Shanghai Film Festival was an "international" film festival because of Yue-Sai Kan! Yue-Sai Kan was the invitation Chairman of this year Shanghai International Film Festival held on June 17-25, 2006. She lined up a star-studded A-class list of foreign stars. Among the attendees were Catherine Deneuve, Hugh Jackam, Sigourney Weaver, Andie MacDowell, Ron Silver, Natasha Richardson, Liam Neeson, Suzanne Sommers, Hiroyuki Sanada, Oscar producer Arnold Kopelson, and Oscar musician Tan Dun. Others attendee included Edward Norton, Jackie Chan, and Oscar Winner Ang Lee.  At the Closing Ceremony, Catherine Deneuve received the Distinguished Artist Life Achievement Award, first time the Film Festival awarded such to a foreign Star.

Yue-Sai hosted a number of parties for all the attendees, including one welcoming party and another one for Hugh Jackman.
